We’ve seen airlines around the world introduce special liveries that include everything from Star Wars to Hello Kitty. Spirit Airlines today unveiled a cool new specialty aircraft to celebrate a new movie that is coming out soon. “Spirit Untamed” is a DreamWorks animated film that hits theaters on June 4, 2021 (I forgot for a second that cinemas are still a thing), a sequel to the 2002 film “Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron” . Spirit Airlines has a special aircraft that advertises this, and you will now find a plane with an idiosyncratic girl named Lucky and her horse featured prominently on a plane (okay, now you see why I’m writing about it, right?) . ? The aircraft to get this special livery has the registration code N932NK, an Airbus A320neo almost a year old. How Spirit Airlines describes this special paint job:
The connection here is simply due to the mutual use of “spirit”. As Spirit Airlines VP of Guest Experience & Brand describes this collaboration:
Here is a trailer for the film: Bottom lineSpirit Airlines has an A320neo with a special “Spirit Untamed” paintwork. I’m so excited to see Lucky on the side of an airplane after so many years (except, of course, Lucky Air from Kunming). I would have preferred to see such a valuable character on the side of an Emirates A380 (the best “horse”), but hey, Spirit works too!
